monday morning, Lorraine lost her battle with cancer. she was a complete inspiration until the end. she did not feel pain they say, and she went peacefully. she winked at my dad and squeezed his hand the last time she opened her eyes. it breaks my heart. i was trapped in paradise while this happened. it was a nightmare couple of days trying to get back to winnipeg to be with the people who needed me and i needed. but i am home now, two days early, but i have wept in the arms of the people who love me and i love back. it seems so surreal.
