sunshine in the rain

This past week has been a tough one. BIL's(brother-in-law) cancer has spread. LOML (love of my life) and I did not get the news we were hoping for in regard to another situation. It's been rough.

Tonight we spent time with my family and the irony that is the joy, comfort and bittersweetness in being around them is not lost on me. The laughing toddler, kids and the cooing baby, heartwarming and breaking at the same time.

It's been tough to see any good this week - to see the sunshine in the rain. Yet we know there must be some...somewhere and that we can choose to change our perspective.
